Digest No. 46

8/23 - 8/29/93

abh sneaks off to Edinburgh, and Lordy Mercy if she and Graham don't go down to the Registry Office and get married! There follows a series of poignant, almost twee honeymoon bulletins from Holland. It's the damnedest thing. And it provides digest copy in an otherwise lackluster Words-L week devoted to kitchen walls, toll roads, and ugly words.

Frank makes perfect sense about things-in-context. ggs heads out for the Canary Islands. Mary Lynn prepares for Karachi, and a likely Phillies pennant. (I dreamed about Neal and Mary Lynn the other night: it was quite dreamlike.)

Is it my imagination, or is the subscriber base shrinking? We need reinforcements, and a new Entropy Warrior.

Respectfully submitted,

So they two went together in glowing August weather, The honey-breathing heather lay to their left and right; And dear she was to doat on, her swift feet seemed to float on The air like soft twin pigeons too sportive to alight. --Christina Rossetti, "Amor Mundi" <'doat' = 'dote'>
